THE BARN

SMITHFIELD, UTAH is where "The Bar" scene takes place. The barn is over 100 years old and has been in the Coleman family for generations. Over the years, it's been a place of storage as well as one of fun. They modified several rooms downstairs and installed a bar and pool table along with a propane heater for the colder weather. The barn has also been used for swinging on the two to three story rope from one end of the balcony to the other. We decided to use the barn for its large size, various rooms/levels and personality. However, a lot of work has to be done in order to begin to prepare for the major film scene. We had to sort, organize, move, take down, put up, place and even throw a lot of things out (a lot of tedious work that has been done by Ty Coleman and his parents). Tables were constructed for the card playing (Drew and Ty). The Chinese style table clothes were made by Tracy Pace. The bar in the upper room was put together (it will later be faced with wood paneling and decor).
